Hi, I am currently running my own server. However, when I was using roundcube, I could not send any email out and could not receive any email. Even when I tried to email to myself. Is this the result of ISP blocking certain ports? If it is, which email service should I use?

I am sorry if I sound ignorant as I am totally new to this.So if I use email store/forward service and SMTP outbound relay service, is it only serve for one domain? So let's say my server currently hosting two websites, which are domain1.com and domain2.com. After I setup myname@domain1.com, do I need another subscription for myothername@domain1.com? And do I need another subscription for myname@domain2.com?Thank you.
