Topic: meaning of 'wildcard=OFF'?
Hi.
Due to a misconfiguration on my end, one of my DDNS devices pushed the following update:
/nic/update?hostname=.dyn.mydomain.cc&myip=77.123.123.123&wildcard=OFF&
This caused *all* my hosts matching *.dyn.mydomain.cc to be registered with 77.123.123.123. Not my intention.
Can I protect myself against this from ever happening again, other than not doing the same mistake again?
